Step 1: Choose a Theme
The first step in creating an infographic is to choose a theme for your infographic. Some of the themes can only be used with a paid for pro option while other themes are available for free. You can search for the themes using the search box.
Step 2: Customize the Theme
After you have picked your theme, you can now change the style of the template and customize it according to your taste. You can select from a range of available color themes that look best for you.
Step 3: Add Graphics and Images
You can change the size, style, and color of almost any element that include text, images, icons, etc. By clicking on the Add tab, you will be able to insert from a range of images to the infographic. You can utilize pictures from Picktochart’s own graphics gallery or upload your own image. It is advisable to use images that are in vector format that provide the best and sharpest resolution especially when zooming in.
Step 4: Add the Data, Videos and Charts
From the Add tab you can also insert data, charts, maps, and videos to the infographic. You can add data by uploading a csv file into the infographic or manually enter the data. If your data sheet is small, it’s best to enter the data manually. However, for a large data set you should use the “Import Data” feature to import excel or Google spreadsheet.
Step 5: Publish Your Infographic
Finally, you have to publish your infographic once you have finished adding pictures, charts, graphs and other data. This will automatically give you the option of saving your infographic and downloading it to your computer.
You can also select an HTML option to generate a link of the published infographic. This provides you with an embed code that you can put into your blog site that supports adding infographic to the site.
